Jose Isauro Ramon Ferran III, aka Tod Ferran, age 61, of Lake Mary, FL, passed away on December 15, 2024 in Orlando, from complications related to a rare and very aggressive gliosarcoma. Born on February 27, 1963 in Provo, Utah. Tod was the son of Susan Crawford and the late Jose Isauro Ramon Ferran Jr.
Tod was an amazing husband, father, grandpa “gramp”, son, and brother who put his family first in every thought and action, including letting his children know when they had done something wrong by his beet-red face and bulging forehead vein. He loved boating and Lake Powell, and rarely swore except when he was engaged in those activities. He had a passion for cars, specifically Jaguars, which he was always able to repair on his own, and was a master handyman who could fix anything. He loved doing home improvement projects with his wife, Terri, even when she made him do all the cleanup, most of the prep work and the hard tile cuts with the saw. Tod was known for being a mentor and example to those he worked and served with. Tod was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities over the years.
Tod is survived by his wife, Terri Ferran, his six children, Brianna (Trevor) Hansen, Joey Ferran, Skyler (Silvia) Ferran, Chantelle (Jayden) Argyle, DJ (Dani) Ferran, Savannah Ferran, and his grandchildren, Alivia, her husband Kayden, Tayvree, Avynlee, Kyson and Aviendha. Also survived by his mother, Susan Crawford, and his three sisters, Melissa, Mindi, and Michelle. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose (Joe) Isauro Ramon Ferran Jr.
A memorial service will be held at the Lake Emma Ward Chapel, 2255 Lake Emma Rd, Lake Mary, FL on January 11, 2025 at 2 pm EST. Services will also be streamed at https://tod.ferran.us Donations in his memory can be made to “All His Kids Want Jaguars” fund or Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida https://dsacf.org/donate
Tod may have left us for now, but we know he is watching over our family (and his Jaguar) from the other side of the veil, and we are grateful to have him for eternity.
